Tech trends 2026: What are the technology trends in 2026?

What can we expect from new tech trends as this new year 2026 begins? At the same time as CES 2026 opens its doors in Las Vegas, the must-attend global technology event, we are taking the opportunity to outline the key technological directions for the months ahead.
What we can already say is that AI is omnipresent at the start of this year, embedded in most of the technological innovations presented in Las Vegas. AI has everything it takes to profoundly transform the business landscape, and this was already the case in 2024 with the AI revolution.
If you are interested in the application of AI in businesses, in specific business cases, you can consult our article on the subject : 4 categories of AI use in businesses in 2025.
We will tell you everything about 2026.
Tech trends to watch in 2026
1. AI and hyper-personalization
That’s it, AI is stepping into the spotlight when it comes to the hyper-personalization of products and services. We’re talking about:
- hyper-personalized marketing,
- a revolutionized customer experience,
- or even extreme hyper-personalization.
But what exactly is hyper-personalization, and what are its benefits for users? It is a practice that offers individuals a fully individualized experience. Users are offered what can truly be described as a unique experience, going far beyond traditional personalization data such as location, age, gender, or name.
How does hyper-personalization work?
AI makes it possible to analyze a user’s journey much more precisely: the content they view, their habits, behaviors, and interactions. Big data is also leveraged in this approach. Data is combined with AI processing to deliver real-time content (notifications, alerts, offers, etc.) that uniquely matches the user’s expectations at the most relevant moment.
2. The acceleration of intelligent energy management solutions
Intelligent energy management encompasses all concepts and practices that positively impact:
- energy bills,
- equipment.
The objectives are to:
- measure,
- analyze,
- control,
- store
The energy consumption for a building or site.
Innovation lies in continuously collecting energy data and triggering corrective actions in real time. These predictions are refined and strengthened thanks to the growth of AI.
If you want to develop a web application or energy management software, you can rely on Bocasay. We have a large pool of experienced developers ready to work on your project.
Concretely, AI gives equipment such as batteries the ability to:
- self-adjust based on real-time data,
- choose the best time to store energy,
- decide when to release energy,
- anticipate demand fluctuations.
3. Explainable AI and collaborative AI
What is explainable AI?
Explainable AI refers to the ability to break down and understand why an AI produced a specific result in response to a request. The CNIL explains that explanations are provided both at the level of input variables and the data used to generate the AI’s response. Finally, the explanations delivered by the AI should be adapted to the requester’s level of understanding.
What is collaborative AI?
Collaborative AI aims to save time, improve quality, and solve problems faster. AI, as a collaborator, acts as an additional teammate working hand in hand with humans to achieve a shared objective.
Examples of collaborative AI use cases in e-health
Creating a teleconsultation report
- the practitioner sends their draft to the AI,
- the AI transforms it into a structured report,
- the practitioner reviews and validates it.
Written interaction with patients
- the patient reports experiencing dizziness for two days,
- the AI proposes a response with triage questions (duration, associated symptoms, ongoing treatments, etc.),
- the practitioner combines their expertise with the AI’s suggestions to respond to the patient.
Multi-agent systems for medication review
In this final example, several AI agents work together with humans:
- the first “interactions” agent monitors drug interactions,
- the second “dosage” agent checks proposed dosages based on the patient’s age,
- the third “adherence” agent prepares recommendations,
- the pharmacist or physician, informed by all these elements, ultimately decides on the treatment to prescribe.

4. European digital sovereignty
One of the most prominent topics in recent months is digital sovereignty. In France, under the Macron government, the term “sovereignty” even appears in the names of two ministries:
- Ministry of the Economy, Finance, and Industrial, Energy, and Digital Sovereignty
- Ministry of Agriculture, Agri-food, and Food Sovereignty
Being sovereign means being able to act freely without pressure or blackmail from external entities.
In e-health, digital sovereignty means hosting sensitive health data on a cloud platform certified with the SecNumCloud security label (issued by ANSSI). ANSSI, the French National Agency for Cybersecurity, created the SecNumCloud framework, which sets a very high bar in terms of technical, operational, and legal requirements. As a result, health data remains under “French” control and is not exposed to regulatory changes or injunctions from foreign countries.
Other trends have been highlighted by Bpifrance, but they will not be developed in this article:
- Quantum cryptography (recommended by ANSSI),
- 6G and ultra-high-speed connectivity,
- Digital twins in the healthcare industry,
- Immersive technologies: simulations in digital environments with interactive capabilities,
- Sustainable and connected agriculture.
How can tech companies stay competitive in 2026?
As always, the companies that will succeed in 2026 will be those, often described as anti-fragile, that can adapt to new strategic and societal challenges.
Some schools of thought argue that the key lies in industrialization, particularly through AI. Finally, delivering faster than competitors remains essential to capturing market share ahead of others.
