Bocasay was founded in 2012.
Since then, the company has expanded and enhanced its IT development skills over the course of 13 years, especially in the development of online applications and custom software solutions.
The project was initiated by a duo: Julien Goumet and Romain Juillet, who founded Bocasay with a strong conviction to transform the way IT projects are outsourced. Choosing countries from the Global South was a natural decision, as it provides French and international companies the opportunity to outsource IT development while benefiting from numerous advantages.

Key dates in the history of Bocasay web agency
2012 – The first foundation stone is laid
The story begins. The project was launched, and Bocasay was founded in France. The company’s headquarters is established in Paris.
2013 – Bocasay Madagascar is born
Bocasay opens its first office in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. Nicknamed the “Red Island,” the country is already known for its expertise in outsourcing various IT activities, particularly BPO. Bocasay Madagascar is officially launched.
2015 – 50 team members building digital tools
After four years of operation and hard work, Bocasay continues to grow, now with 50 team members working daily to create new digital tools across a range of technologies.
2016 – New offer and brand identity
2016 marks the launch of Bocasay’s new service offering. Alongside this comes the creation of a completely new brand identity, further enhancing the company’s authenticity and market positioning.
2017 – 75 talented people join Bocasay
One year later, Bocasay grew to 75 talented employees working on technology projects, primarily for clients based in France. The range of sectors the teams work in continues to expand, expertise deepens, and Bocasay is on a clear upward trajectory.
2018 – Expansion to Vietnam and joining the Maltem Group
The Bocasay adventure doesn’t stop there. The founders decided to expand their production centers by opening a new office in Ho Chi Minh City, the economic capital of Vietnam.
That same year, Bocasay joined the Paris-based Maltem Group, a digital transformation and innovation expert since 2001. Maltem acquires a 30% stake in Bocasay. The two companies align due to shared vision and values, as well as geographic complementarity. In 2018, Maltem recorded a turnover of €100 million.
2019 – New offices in Singapore, Hanoi, and Mauritius
Bocasay continues its international expansion by opening an office in Singapore and another in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The two Vietnamese cities are just a four-hour flight apart: Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) in the south, and Hanoi in the north. This expansion also includes a new office in the Indian Ocean region, on the well-known island paradise of Mauritius, only 2.5 hours by air from Madagascar. The Mauritian offices are located in Ebène Cybercity.
2025 – Bocasay x Esokia
Today, Bocasay is fully part of the Maltem Group, alongside its sister company Esokia, a digital experience agency based in Mauritius. The two companies now share offices, grow together, and build new synergies, ushering in a new era, new projects, and a highly promising new chapter in Bocasay’s history.
