Almost all of Bocasay’s team in Madagascar was present, with more than 50 members participating in the outing. Wonderful, collective team energy was witnessed during this outing. It was a day of remarkable team-building activities laced with common experiences and thrills (those who experienced with the zip line can confirm that).
Originally, when Offshore computing in France in the 2000s, the major groups left to open development centers (especially in India) of dozens, even hundreds of developers. The return on investment was only valid for very large projects because the preparation and management phases required for the success of these offshore IT projects were an unacceptable extra cost for small projects. The only offshore solutions for the offshore accessible-to-SME / SMEs were small local businesses with all the problems that we know about quality and sustainability of the companies. Many SMEs have been disappointed by these cheap but poorly made services. It shows a bad image that still exists today in all minds.

Anyone can outsource its IT project with a offshore company, including software publishers. “What makes the difference is the price and the customer service” assures the co-founder of Bocasay, Romain Juillet.
What exactly happens when a company outsources an IT project, whether in France or offshore? First of all, the IT company providing software engineering services cannot launch the project without receiving site models and a precise specifications booklet. “If we do not receive these items, we put customers in touch with a design agency to prepare them,” said Romain Juillet, co-founder of Bocasay. Then, we divide the project into different tasks to get an estimate of the overall timeframe required.
We had some real challenges, including our internal organization. Our 2016 balance sheet is very positive. Compared to last January, our turnover has increased by more than 40%. We also managed to diversify our customer base.
Do not dive in head first. The outsourcing of an IT project, especially when carried out offshore, requires preparation. Each project depends on the company that handles it. It is largely based on the company’s operation methods and its human resources. A growing SME does not take the same measures that a large company would. And therefore, one must be ready: “the first question to ask is: is my project compatible with outsourcing ?” stresses Romain Juillet, co-founder of Bocasay.
